Well, here's another update from the TACO arena. Last Saturday we had three venues: Mooroolbark (VIC), Ingle Farm (SA) and Perth Fortress (WA). They each had a great night and here's a quick preview:
* Mooroolbark had a great turnout of about 80 people and raised over $900. Thank Carolyn and others for all your hard work!
* Ingle Farm raised over $700 and on the night auctioned off an 'Air Guitar' and an 'Imaginary Friend'. That's a cool way to raise some cash and keep the expenses down! Thanks Paul for your commitment to the cause.
* Perth Fortress raised a whopping $1,100 and Cadet Gareth got the Youth Group to serve on the night. Thanks mate!
So the TACO initiative is going awesome. We have two more venues left in 2008:
Packenham (4th Oct) and Bentleigh (11th Oct).
So far if my calculations are correct we have raised about: $7360. How cool is that?
Also, some breaking news. Our first TACO Trivia Night is happening outside Australia, at Etobicoke Temple in Toronto on Jan 24th. Thanks to Vangi Court for catching the vision! TACO is going Global!
