It's tough to go from 2 TACO Trivia Nights last year to 12. People don't always understand the vision and passion we have. Some places are so busy. Other places find it hard to find a date to lock in. Good news though, there have been a few corps putting their hands up.
We have had positive responses from a few places that wish to host a TACO Night.
It's not as hard as you think. Just find a date around September sometime (maybe even late August or early October) and choose a venue.
We are aiming hard to have events right around The Australia Southern Territory...

The TACO Vision
In 2008, the vision is simple... We wish to have TACO Trivia Nights running in over 15 venues around the Australia Southern Territory. Each night will on average raise around the $1,000 mark (maybe more, maybe less), and so potentially we will raise over $15,000 for Cadet's overseas, and for Training College facilities in Third World Countries.

Why bother raising the money?
In the Training College in Melbourne facilities are good. Great in fact, when you compare them to Training College's in Third World Countries. We complain when the billiard table has a scratch on it, yet some of these other Training facilities lack the bare essentials.
The Territorial TACO Team are passionate about thinking beyond ourselves, and our own comfortability. We want to sow blessing into those from other countries who have it harder than us. By raising money through the TACO Trivia Nights we can put money where it's needed most.
It's not good enough that there is a waiting list of cadets in some Third World Countries. It's not good enough that a cadet can lose their chance to learn and grow because they don't have a good enough bed to sleep on!
Choose to host a TACO Trivia Night. You won't regret it, and God will bless you for it!!

Running a Night: Easier than you think
Running a TACO Trivia Night is easier than you think! The "Territorial TACO Team" will provide you with all the Trivia questions and answers. We will also provide you with all the advertising you will need, with good quality fliers, posters, etc. We will also hopefully advertise through OnFire and Warcry Magazines.
All you need to do at this point is three things:
1. Decide to say YES to hosting a TACO Trivia Night in September 08
2. Decide who will be the contact person for this night
3. Lock in a DATE before the end of March!!!
Easy enough? Check the Corps dates! Find a free night during September (or around September), and email peter.brookshaw@aus.salvationarmy.org to confirm details.
